Our Story

Serving Northeast Ohio since 1965

What began as a single dealership has grown into six companies spanning new and pre-owned vehicles, leasing and film production, all under Venus Industries.

    Jay Buick GMC

    Our history begins with Jay Buick GMC, the dealership that started the Jay Auto Group family.

  2. 1971

    Jay Honda, Ohio’s first Honda dealer

    Jay Honda opens as the first Honda dealer in Ohio.

  3. 2017

    BMW of Akron & Volkswagen of Akron

    Jay Auto Group acquires Dave Walter BMW and Dave Walter Volkswagen, which become BMW of Akron and Volkswagen of Akron.

Owner, President & CEO, Venus Industries and Jay Auto Group

Nathan Lancry is an entrepreneur and businessman from challenging and humble beginnings. He dropped out of high school and worked manual labor for years before going on to become the Owner, President and CEO of a large Northeast Ohio group of businesses.

He is also an author, with books including Book of Matches (2024), The Mercury Mind and Foresight is 20/20, and has been featured on Fox 8 Cleveland. His mission is to encourage people who may not think success is possible for them.
